Wisheo Releases New User Interface Features

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Wisheo recently released V2.0 of its popular group gift and wishlist application designed to simplify group gifting so that people can pool their money together and buy more valuable gifts for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, baby showers, house warming parties and much more. Wisheo's goal is to give people the opportunity to buy better gifts, receive better gifts, spend less, and simply to use money more wisely by sharing the cost with friends. People will receive better gifts and people can ask for more expensive gifts when they are setting up the baby shower wishlist. The first Beta version was released about two months ago and more than 4400 users are already enjoying Wisheo. The new user interface is very intuitive and several steps in setup portion have been automated and simplified to shorten the entire group gift process.

Group gifts and wishlists can be set up in four easy steps today. First, the originator sets up an invitation and personalizes it with text and pictures. Next, using Wisheo's integrated partner Shopping.com, the originator adds items to the invitation. This is then shared with friends and family and they can choose to contribute a certain amount towards the gifts on the invitation. The originator monitors all the contribution on Wisheo's site and everything is collected in the originator's PayPal account. Once the group gifts are fully funded, the group gift creator can simply buy the gift directly from Wisheo.

Improvements to the address book simplifies the process of inviting both Facebook and non-Facebook friends. After responding to initial feedback from beta users, Wisheo now also allows the originator to post cash and check contributions. An integrated calendar keeps track of all the upcoming events including birthdays.

Whether it is a friend's birthday or an upcoming baby shower, Wisheo has addressed the main pain points with setting up group gifts -- the difficulty of organizing a group gift without sending multiple emails back and forth, and the challenge of collecting all the contributions after buying the gift.
