Women's Dermatologic Society Announces 2013-2014 Leadership And Annual Honorees At 40th Anniversary Celebration

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS) announces its 2013-2014 Officers, Board of Directors and annual honorees as presented at its 40th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Luncheon, held in conjunction with the 71st Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in Miami.
Lynchburg, VA dermatologist and outgoing WDS President, Janet G. Hickman, MD, led the afternoon's proceedings, which featured an awards presentation recognizing outstanding dermatologists, an annual business meeting and a keynote address by Vivian W. Pinn, MD, who is Senior Scientist Emerita at the National Institute of Health's Fogarty International Center. Dr. Pinn shared her reflections on women in medicine drawn from her extraordinary medical career.
Amy S. Paller, MD, Walter J. Hamlin Professor and Chair of Dermatology and Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, has assumed the role of 2013-2014 WDS President.
