Creative teams were often lacking the information needed to begin work on creative requests, creating significant lags in projects, and updates and change requests came from a variety of sources: email, mark-ups on routing slips, and in-person communication, which often led to confusion and multiple rounds of revisions.
After an evaluation of project management tools, FOCUS Brands selected Workfront because it offered a comprehensive set of capabilities, including project management, digital proofing, and dashboard reporting. Since implementing in 2016, seven different creative teams have begun using Workfront to manage their work from start to finish. They have created standardized requests for each brand, and franchisees and their local marketing managers can make requests directly in Workfront. Also, they no longer route paper copies for artwork approvals because all edits and approvals are done digitally—which has been vital in helping deliverables and edits from getting lost. Because of the automated dashboards, creative audits, and reporting, the team can now provide accurate reporting and has the data required to demonstrate the need for additional resources.
