World Champion Bull Rider Sets Sight On $1 Million; Top Bull Riders to Compete Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden

    NEW YORK, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Who wants to be a millionaire?  World
 Champion Bull Rider Chris Shivers does, and he has a chance to become one
 tomorrow at New York City's famous Madison Square Garden.
     Shivers, the 21-year-old cowboy from Jonesville, LA is one of
 45 professional bull riders competing at the Professional Bull Riders All-Star
 Shootout Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.  Shivers had earned $982,384 as of Nov. 2 and is
 $17, 616 away from becoming the first bull rider in PBR history to surpass the
 $1 million mark in career earnings.  With the All-Star Shootout paying
 $40,000 to the event's first-place rider, the 5'-3", 135 pound Shivers stands
 a good chance of eclipsing the $1 million mark Saturday night at Madison
 Square Garden.
     Shivers joined the PBR on his 18th birthday and, for the past four years,
 has been one of the Professional Bull Riders toughest competitors.  He was
 crowned 2000 PBR World Champion Oct. 29 -- the final day of the four-day PBR
 Bud Light Cup World Championships in Las Vegas.  He now sports the gold and
 diamond belt buckle valued at $40,000 to show off his latest bull riding
     Other top bull riders schedule to compete Saturday at the All-Star
 Shootout include nine-time world champion Ty Murray of Stephenville, Texas;
 1999 PBR World Champion Cody Hart of Walnut Bend Texas; 1997 PBR World
 Champion Michael Gaffney of Albuquerque, N.M. 1996 PBR World Champion Owen
 Washburn of Lordsburg, N.M.; and 1994 World Champion Adriano Moraes of Sao
 Paulo, Brazil.
