TORONTO, Dec. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Real Interactive (a division of 6 Degrees Integrated Communications) and KBS+P announced today that the two agencies have been selected to lead marketing efforts for a national Social Impact Campaign for World Vision, the relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision has enlisted the MDC Partners agencies in a custom-designed partnership to raise awareness throughout Canada of the issues of child labour and child trafficking. The resulting integrated campaign will include television, out-of-home, print, digital and social media efforts.
"The team of Real Interactive and KBS+P display an ideal balance of creativity, market intelligence and strategic engagement," said Caroline Riseboro, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, for World Vision Canada. "Not only is their conceptual work breakthrough, they show as much passion and commitment towards meeting our objectives to help children living in poverty as we do. We are thrilled to be partnering with them to shed light on the issue of modern-day slavery and child exploitation."
The agencies' first effort for World Vision will launch in the summer of 2013 and will be designed to bring the plight and needs of disadvantaged children around the world into the Canadian consciousness. Real Interactive and KBS+P have united to create a custom solution to jointly create the business and creative strategy, while executing the digital and social work through Real Interactive, and the television, print and out-of-home through KBS+P.
"This is an incredible opportunity to actually help to shape the public's understanding, concern and sense of personal responsibility for an issue that impacts the lives of over 100 million children," said Robin Whalen, Managing Director of Real Interactive. "Opportunities like this are few and far between. Personally, this will be my second time working with World Vision and I'm truly excited to have a another chance to make a difference in what is a basic human right – the right to a childhood free from harm and abuse."
