World's Oldest Barber Shop Celebrates 200 Years on Trafalgar Day

    CHICAGO, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- This "Trafalgar Day", receive a shave and
 a haircut (currently $105), for two pence!  Truefitt & Hill, the Oldest
 Barbershop in the World (Guinness Book of Business World Records), is
 celebrating 200 years of being in business.  On October 21, 1805, Francis
 Truefitt opened his first shop in Mayfair, London.  Both Chicago and London
 Truefitt & Hills will be celebrating the 200th.  The Duke of Edinburgh (Prince
 Phillip) will attend the event in London this Thursday October 27th.  Admiral
 Nelson will be at the Chicago celebration all day on Tuesday October 25th.
 Truefitt & Hill will roll back their prices to the original 1805 prices.
 Customers will receive British Pence when they arrive at Truefitt & Hill for
 their services.

      Shave=      1/2 Pence            (3/4 of a cent vs. $55 in 2005)
      Manicure=   1/2 Pence            (3/4 of a cent vs. $30 in 2005)
      Shoeshine=  1 Farthing           (1/4 of a cent vs. $6 in 2005)
    Truefitt & Hill is the Oldest Barbershop in the world, catering to British
 Royalty since 1805.  Each week in London, Barbers from Truefitt & Hill visit
 Buckingham Palace to perform tonsorial services for the British Royalty.
 Truefitt & Hill's clients have included the likes of Sir Winston Churchill,

     October 21, 2005 is "Trafalgar Day" in Great Britain.  On this day in
 1805, Admiral Horatio Nelson died while victoriously defending England at Cape
 Trafalgar.  Nelson put a stop to Napoleon at Trafalgar, making him Briton's
 greatest Admiral and Naval Hero.  His Monument still stands at Trafalgar
 Square in London.  Nelson will be at Truefitt & Hill in Chicago for a special
 Anniversary appearance all day.  He will be joined by "The Kat's Returned" a
 duo-performing period pieces from the British Isles.  Champagne will be served
 all day.
