xG Technology Announces Increased Performance in its Market-Leading Interference Mitigation Technology Capabilities
Latest Enhancements Extend xG's Position as Provider of Secure and Reliable Wireless Solutions to Markets Requiring Mission-Assured Communications
SARASOTA, Fla., April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- xG Technology, Inc. ("xG" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: XGTI, XGTIW), a developer of wireless communications and spectrum sharing technologies, is pleased to announce that it has achieved further performance increases in the patented and market-leading interference mitigation capabilities of the xMax private mobile broadband wireless system.
The heightened performance is the result of successfully incorporating more complex and robust signal processing algorithms and other advances spearheaded by xG's research and development team. These technological advancements translate to up to a ten-fold improvement in the ability of xMax to withstand interference. In test results announced in October 2014, xG was already demonstrating the superior ability of xMax to continue delivering flawless connectivity when subjected to high levels of intentionally generated interference.
As today's wireless environments become increasingly prone to congestion and interference, and at risk for intentional and unintentional jamming, the ability of communications systems to maintain transmission integrity despite the existence of such threats takes on critical importance. This capability is essential in public safety, disaster recovery, military operations and other expeditionary wireless environments. The xMax system was designed and developed specifically to operate in such challenging, less-than-pristine RF conditions.
George Schmitt, CEO and Board Chairman of xG Technology, said, "We are pleased to announce these latest enhancements to the key interference mitigation features of the xMax system. xG's technical staff has raised the standard even higher in their efforts to advance the reputation of xG as the leader in enabling the delivery of secure and reliable communications. xMax continues to be unique among wireless protocols in its ability to resist interference and jamming attempts, which are ongoing concerns for public safety and military wireless planners."
