XL Insurance Names New Head of Technology E&O Products; Builds Out Miscellaneous Professional Liability Underwriting Team

EXTON, Pa., July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XL Insurance, XL Capital Ltd's global insurance operations, today named Scott Schleicher to manage its Select Professional unit's Technology E&O book of business. XL Insurance also announced the build out of its miscellaneous professional liability underwriting team with the addition of three Senior Underwriters -- Stephen Adam and Craig Wild in Hartford, CT, and Steven Anderson in Dallas, TX. Mr. Schleicher will be based in XL Insurance's Exton, Pa. office.

XL Insurance's Select Professional unit works with brokers and wholesalers to address the Errors & Omission (E&O) insurance needs of small to mid-size service providers including lawyers, consultants, TPAs, ad agencies, franchisers, real estate agents, insurance agents, technology companies and non-medical service providers.

Mr. Schleicher joins XL Insurance with two decades of broker and underwriting experience including his most recent tenure with the Technology Business Unit of ISG International, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher. He will be responsible for XL Insurance's technology products which provide network security, privacy liability and media liability coverage for various industries.

Mr. Adam honed his miscellaneous professional liability experience with underwriting positions at Aspen Specialty Insurance and Chubb Specialty.

Mr. Wild joins XL Insurance from Lee & Mason Financial Services where he was the primary underwriter for a book of miscellaneous professional liability business. His career includes various underwriting and management positions with Guilford Specialty Group, Chubb, Executive Risk and The Aetna. He holds Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and Associate in Surplus Lines (ASLI) designations.

Mr. Anderson's 15-year career includes underwriting positions with Retired Directors Assurance Underwriting Services (RDAUS), RLI and Travelers, as well as technical and sales engineering positions with Cisco Systems and Virtual Village, Inc. He earned an RPLU designation as well.
