Young People Will Play a Critical Role in 2012 Democratic National Convention, Says College Democrats of America

CHARLOTTE, Sept. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Wrapping up a weekend of pre-convention events, the College Democrats of America (CDA) convened young leaders from the DNC Youth Council, Young Democrats of America, Black Youth Vote, IMPACT, and Duke University at a press conference today. Young people gathered for trainings, caucus meetings, and networking events from Friday, August 31 – Sunday, September 2 ahead of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, highlighting the importance of young people in this year's convention.

"By giving College Democrats a voice at the Democratic National Convention, the party and the President are showing their commitment to young people and the future of our great nation."
