ZINO Society Awards $120,000 Investment Funds to Two Companies
SEATTLE, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- ZINO Society has awarded the 2009 ZINO Zillionaire Investment Funds in two categories: $60,000 Best Technology Investment to Enroute Systems Corporation and $60,000 Best Non-Technology Investment to MicroGREEN Polymers, Inc.
Enroute Systems Corporation combines business analytics and transportation management software to reduce cost and improve shipping efficiency for parcel-shipping businesses. "We are delighted to be recognized by the ZINO Society as the 2009 ZZIF Best Technology Investment," said Keith McCall, CEO of Bellevue, WA-based Enroute Systems Corporation. "The combination of business contacts and capital provided by the ZINO Society over the past year has helped us accelerate the growth of Enroute's ShipIt! family of software-as-a-service products."
MicroGREEN Polymers Inc creates environmentally sound consumer products by injecting billions of tiny bubbles into plastic, saving money and making common plastic products more environmentally sustainable. "We are honored to receive the ZZIF 2009 Non-Technology Best Investment Fund Award. The award money, together with funds we secured for our upcoming Series B closing, will be used to build-out our facilities to full commercial production scale. This will enable us to further demonstrate to CPGs how Ad-air(TM) empowers them to lower the material costs of plastic products and improve their sustainability to meet growing consumer demands," said Tom Malone, CEO of MicroGREEN Polymers.
The two companies presented at the 4th Annual ZINO Zillionaire Investment Forum, September 17, 2009 and were selected by ZZIF Fund Investors after a period of due diligence. 28 entrepreneurs presented their business plans to investors. "We were pleasantly surprised by the increased participation in our investment fund, enabling us to present a total of $120,000 rather than the previously announced $100,000," noted Cathi Hatch, ZINO Society CEO. "I think this reflects well on the caliber and credibility of our entrepreneurs."
