The National Pharmaceutical Council's fifth annual survey of comparative effectiveness research (CER) stakeholders shows that they view CER as important, expect it to have an impact on health care and decision-making in the next three to five years, and see the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute as playing the leading role in U.S. CER efforts. Stakeholders also expressed continued optimism that CER will yield improvements in health care decision-making, but respondents are not yet seeing the impact of CER in the current environment.
