 Electric Fuel Corporation (Nasdaq:   EFCX) today announced that it has signed an
 exclusive distribution agreement in Germany with DNT GmbH.  DNT will
 distribute in Germany the Instant Power(TM) Charger, which allows users to
 charge their cellphone or PDA without the need of an electrical outlet and to
 simultaneously keep using their device even if their battery is dead.  The
 Instant Power cellphone and PDA Charger is pocket-sized, weighs less than
 three ounces and plugs directly into the appliance.
     Germany's Metro AG has placed an initial order for the Instant Power
 Chargers for stores of the Metro Cash & Carry chain in Germany, following the
 CeBIT show that took place in Hanover, Germany last week.  Both DNT and
 Electric Fuel presented at the show.
     Metro AG, the world's third largest trading group, was created in July
 1996 as a result of the merger of Metro Cash & Carry, Kaufhof Holding AG and
 Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG.  In 1999 the group generated net sales of
 DM 86 billion and today has 2,100 outlets in 21 countries.
     DNT Drahtlose Nachrichtentechnik GmbH, established almost 30 years ago, is
 a privately held company located near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.  DNT
