10,000 loonie giveaway kicks off summer travel season

Cheapflights.ca takes to the streets of Toronto, gives $10,000 in cash to aspiring travellers

TORONTO, May 23, 2015 /CNW/ - How far will a loonie take you? If you were walking down the streets of Toronto today, you likely found out as teams handed out 10,000 loonies to celebrate the beginning of the summer travel season.

To whet Torontonians' travel appetite, Cheapflights.ca was handing out loonies and inviting passersby to play on an 8-foot high loonie game board for a chance to win one of three vacation getaways. A one-day-only pop-up vacation oasis on Queen Street West set the scene.
