As part of a special ambulatory care research focus on implemented EHR users, Black Book reveals industry trends and announced those vendors with the highest scores in client experience among 682 gastroenterology physician practices.
Nearly 21% of GI practices remain challenged to select and implement a first EHR system and 15% of early EHR adopters seek to exchange out original EHR choices according to Black Book survey participants. Users identified the GI-centric applications that are delivering on implementation success, productivity, gastroenterology workflows, outcomes, meaningful use achievement, connectivity and crucial stimulus fund requirements.

Through Q4 2015 to Q2 2015, gastroenterology/GI including private, independent and large group practices has been one of the fastest growing market segments of new EHR implementations, according to Black Book polling with 79% of all GI practices either executed, under implementation or are in the process of selecting a system.
