USMC Lt. General George Trautman Joins Draken International Advisory Board

LAKELAND, Fla., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Draken International, the largest commercial provider of tactical aircraft operations, is proud to announce Retired USMC Lieutenant General George Trautman as the newest member of the company's advisory board.

LtGen Trautman brings considerable military and leadership experience to the advisory board, where he joins a number of other distinguished retired U.S. Military Generals. During his illustrious career, LtGen Trautman served as Commanding Officer of Marine Aircraft Group 36, Branch Head, Aviation Weapon Systems Requirements Branch, Headquarters Marine Corps, 3d Marine Air Wing Assistant Wing Commander, Deputy Commanding General I Marine Expeditionary Force, Commanding General 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Deputy Director, Plans and Policies, U.S. Central Command, Deputy Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific, Commanding General Marine Corps Bases Hawaii, Commanding General 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and Deputy Commandant for Aviation. While serving as the head of Marine aviation, LtGen Trautman was responsible for developing requirements and transition plans for the delivery of new aircraft such as the MV-22 Osprey, KC-130J Hercules, UH-1Y Venom, AH-1Z Viper, and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

LtGen Trautman will work with Draken's other advisory board members and senior military leadership to continue to enhance the company's support to the U.S. military. These sorties have shown, in independent study, to provide over $1 billion in cost-savings to the U.S. Government over 10 years while preserving military aircraft life and allowing optimized training.
