
4th Annual Hero Bowl to Feature Komen San Diego Survivors' Circle
SAN DIEGO, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego Enforcers will welcome the New York City Fire Department and honor breast cancer survivors on Saturday, April 24 at the fourth annual Hero Bowl.
The Enforcers, a tackle-football team comprised completely of San Diego County law enforcement officers, paramedics and firefighters, are members of the National Public Safety Football League and compete against other public safety football teams from across the country to raise money for charities. Susan G. Komen for the Cure ®, San Diego is the team's charity of choice this year, and breast cancer survivors will form a circle on the field during half time at the Hero Bowl in support of Komen's mission to eradicate breast cancer forever.

Komen and the Enforcers are hoping to get more than 200 survivors on the field at half time to be honored. Every survivor will receive free admittance to the Hero Bowl and enjoy VIP/reserved seating and other goodies. There will also be a drawing, prior to the game, for one lucky survivor (and up to 10 family & friends) to be escorted to the game in a pink limousine, compliments of Lifestyle Transportation, receive VIP treatment at the game, and have photo opportunities with the team at the after-game party!
"This is a tremendous opportunity for people to come out and support our team, watch some incredibly talented athletes play football, and support our efforts in the fight against breast cancer," said Jason Sullivan, president of the San Diego Enforcers.
Last year's Hero Bowl against the Atlanta Defenders attracted more than 2,000 attendees and the team is competing for the League Championship this season.
