    CLEVELAND, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- A lightweight, broadband PCS yagi is
 now available from Antenna Specialists, an Allen Telecom company. Newly
 released model ASPM998 has been designed to meet the needs of high volume,
 rapid deployment found in Wireless Local Loop, Wireless Fixed Terminal and
 repeater installations.
     "A precision engineered integrated/balanced feed network provides optimum
 efficiency," states Carol Broniman, Product and Marketing Manager for Antenna
 Specialists. "While the injection molded feed assembly provides a weatherproof
 seal."
     The antenna may be wall or pole mounted, allowing for versatile
 installation options and choice of linear, vertical or horizontal
 polarization. An aesthetically pleasing light gray color "blends" well with
 indoor and outdoor surroundings.
     ASPM998 covers 1850-1990 MHz. with a VSWR of 1.5:1 and is broadband for
 tuning-free field installation. The antenna is power rated to handle up to
 10 watts. The gain is 9 dBd (11 dBi) nominal with a front-to-back ratio
 of > 17dB and a sidelobe level of > 10dB. E-plane beamwidth for ASPM998 is
 42 degrees - 48 degrees and the H-plane beamwidth is 50 degrees - 60 degrees.
     The PCS yagi is 9 inches (22.9 cm), not including cable, and 3.5 inches
 (8.9 cm) wide. Total mounting area is 3.25 inches x .75 inches
 (8.3 cm x 1.9 cm). The antenna weighs 4 oz. (.11 kg) and has a rated wind
 velocity of 129 mph (208 km/h). It is supplied with 12 inches (30.5 cm)
 RG-316/U with an attached TNC female connector. Mounting hardware such as
 #1O screws and hose clamps are not provided. Manufacturer's Suggested List
 Price is $83.50.
