A Fairytail House Launches Crowdfunding Campaign To Raise Awareness And Funds For Emergency Dog Rescue And Rehabilitation Facility
Helping Dogs and Our Community Find a Happily Ever After
WILSONVILLE, Ore., Aug. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A Fairytail House, a social enterprise facility for rescue and rehabilitation based in Clackamas County, Oregon, is launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise the $1 million necessary to build a facility to house and train dogs rescued from emergency situations and to encourage community knowledge sharing with an emphasis on positive training methods.
The inspiration behind A Fairytail House:
Every month in every state, healthy dogs are rescued from emergency situations but end up euthanized, because there are not enough shelters or foster homes; or the dogs can't receive the socialization and training needed for adoption.
The solution:
A Fairytail House will be a multi-acre, fully equipped temporary housing facility providing:
- Climate-controlled housing;
- Positive reinforcement dog training by certified dog trainers
- FREE seminars to educate the community;
- FREE classes for anyone who adopts a shelter dog, to help prevent returns to the shelter.
"Devoted to animal welfare and education, we are thrilled to take on the challenge to create the first sustainable and scalable solution to not only serve dogs in need, but also to educate our community," said A Fairytail House founder and certified dog trainer Kristina Lotz. "Our training side will help support our rescue efforts, but we need help from pet lovers, advocates, and business partners looking to be heroes together."
The goal:
Become a hero for these dogs' tales! Businesses and pet lovers worldwide are invited to pledge a donation through a crowdfunding campaign launching on August 25, 2014. For individual donations of $50 or more, donors will receive a Hear Doggy!™ toy from Quaker Pet Group; $100 donors will receive USA-made Natural Value™ dog treats from Loving Pets; for donations of $100,000 or more, a section of A Fairytail House facility will be named in the donor's honor.
Founding rescue partners, Oregon Dog Rescue and Pacific NW Bulldog Rescue will get a gift of $5,000 when the crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal.
