Activu Corporation Announces New Release of Command and Control Software Suite
DENVILLE, N.J., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Activu® Corporation, a leading provider of net-centric visualization and collaboration solutions announces Activu 5.0, the latest release of its software suite for mission-critical command and control environments. Activu 5.0 is the culmination of ten years of customer-driven software evolution and refinement, providing a powerful new feature set for enabling organizations to accelerate communications and decision making capabilities, utilize more robust tools for peer-to-peer collaboration, integrate with the latest video technologies, and reduce overall bandwidth utilization. Because the Activu solution is integrated into existing LAN/WAN environments, organizations gain more efficient use of network servers, lower operational costs, and reduced energy costs through server consolidation, making better use of overall capital expenditures.
Activu is widely deployed throughout the Defense and Intelligence Community, Homeland Security and Civilian Agencies, Security and Force Protection, Emergency Management, Utilities and Energy, Finance and Insurance, Transit and Transportation, and Technology sectors. Our software delivers the most feature-rich, net-centric visualization and collaboration solutions on the market today. The new release extends the level of command and control collaboration beyond the confines of the physical display wall and control room by harnessing the power of distributed network architecture, bringing communication and participation to a new visual level. Leverage a common platform for critical staff to communicate to a centralized control room, from any location, providing a uniform communication method to reduce mean-time-to-restoration, reducing cost and increasing operational efficiency.
Software Features
Peer-to-Peer Collaboration Tools: TeamShare™ extends the level of command and control room collaboration beyond the confines of the display wall for faster communication and decision making, person to person and site to site. Utilizing text messaging, whiteboarding, and other critical tools, control room operators can quickly communicate with peers, share and annotate their desktop and more to allow for faster decision making.
Advanced Agent: Activu introduces an enhanced IP network transport mechanism for computer sources, Advanced Agent. The Advanced Agent supports multiple desktops, user defined display sharing, Open GL and DirectX and the ability to define a single Window as a source. The Advanced Agent lowers overall bandwidth utilization and defines user hierarchy at the source and wall level.
Web Client: Control the Activu system from any web browser, running any operating System for maximum accessibility and security.
Multi-Touch: Activu 5.0 is fully Windows 7 multi-touch capable allowing deployment on multi-touch desktop screens, LCD panels and multi-touch capable data walls.
Activu software, integrated with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware components, is a proven network-based software solution that has been widely deployed in the Department of Defense, component federal agencies, as well as state and local Emergency Operation Centers (EOCs) to enhance situational awareness, decision making, and rapid response.
Activu 5.0 will be showcased March 23-25 at Distributech, Tampa, FL (booth 1239) and FOSE, Washington, DC (booth 3601). Partnering with Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc., Activu will feature state-of-the-art solutions for command and control.
