MTV and Time Warner Alums Join Bottle Rocket and AdVision Subsidiaries;

ACTV Veteran Reassumes CFO Role

    NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Continuing its
 evolution into a full-service digital media company, ACTV, Inc. (Nasdaq:   IATV)
 today announced several key personnel moves, including the appointment of
 Thomas Walsh as president of ACTV subsidiary AdVision Systems, LLC; Robert
 Crawford as Senior Vice President of New Business Development for subsidiary
 Bottle Rocket Digital; and Christopher Cline as Chief Financial Officer of
 ACTV.
     Crawford joins ACTV from MTV Networks/MTVI Group, where he most recently
 served as director of television services and platform/executive producer for
 MTV2.com and VH1 Classic.com and was responsible for interactive shows such as
 Control Freak. At ACTV, he will direct Bottle Rocket Digital, a new business
 group created to develop games for digital television platforms. Based in New
 York, he will work closely with Bottle Rocket Chief Executive Officer Greg
 Easley and ACTV Chief Technology Officer Kevin Liga.
     Walsh most recently served as president of traffic and billing software
 supplier VisionTel, after spending 10 years in Time Warner Cable's finance and
 operations departments. He will now head AdVision Systems, LLC, the new ACTV
 subsidiary formed by the acquisition of VisionTel from nCUBE Corporation in
 January.  At AdVision, Walsh will work to support existing traffic and billing
 customers, including AT&T Broadband, Time Warner and Cox Communications, and
 aid in the deployment of personalized advertising technology through ACTV's
 Digital ADCO subsidiary. Based in Branchburg, N.J., he will report to Kevin
 Liga, who serves as CEO of Digital ADCO in addition to his CTO role with ACTV.
 Christopher Cline, a Senior Vice President and eight-year ACTV veteran, has
 reassumed the role of Chief Financial Officer, a position he held from
 November 1993 to July 2000.  He takes over for Joseph Dwyer, who is departing
 for a new opportunity.  Cline reports to ACTV Chief Executive Officer William
 C. Samuels.
