AFC Enterprises Appoints Clark as New Vice President of Human Resources

    ATLANTA, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- AFC Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFCE),

 today announced the promotion of Margaret Clark to Vice President of People
 Services and Development.  Clark replaces Lee Grande, who will continue to
 work at AFC Enterprises as a consultant on special projects.
     In her new position as Vice President, Clark is responsible for all phases
 and systems necessary to better service, evaluate, train, recruit, compensate,
 and motivate AFC Enterprises' employees.  Clark, as a member of the executive
 team, will oversee AFC Enterprises' goal to establish and maintain an
 environment that provides inclusion and development for AFC Enterprises'
 employees as part of the company's New Age of Opportunity program.  During her
 five years at AFC Enterprises, she has held the position of Vice President of
 Management Development.
     Clark has 21 years experience in human resources and retail operations.
 She began her career in retail at Rich's Department Store, advancing to store
 operations, then corporate merchandising, field management and ultimately in
 corporate Human Resources as the Director of Training and Communications.  Her
 management experience includes the Director of Training and the Director of
 Human Resources for National Vision Associates, Ltd., an international optical
 company, Director of Training & Development with Banker's Note and lead
 instructor with Speakeasy.  She and her husband live in Kennesaw, Georgia.
     Clark holds a bachelor's degree in Retail Merchandising from the
 University of Kentucky.  She is a member of the Society for Human Resource
 Management (SHRM), Georgia 100 Mentor Program and the  Women's Foodservice
 Forum (WFF).
