JACKSON, Miss., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadband services provider
AIR2LAN, Inc., announced today that Baton Rouge, La., will be the company's
 next market for expansion.
AIR2LAN, which provides fixed-wireless broadband access, web design and
other broadband services, will now serve business customers in five markets:
Jackson, Miss.; Houston, Tex.; New Orleans, La.; Montgomery, Ala.; and Baton
Rouge, La. Montgomery and Baton Rouge are the first two of seven new markets
that AIR2LAN expects to announce this year.
"Baton Rouge is a good example of what we're looking for in a market,"
said Jai P. Bhagat, chairman and CEO of AIR2LAN. "It's a progressive, medium-
sized city with a strong base of small and medium-sized businesses that don't
have many other choices for broadband access."
Bhagat said the company is already building its wireless network in Baton
Rouge and plans to begin offering service to business customers there in early
 June.
"Baton Rouge is the fastest-growing economy in Louisiana," Bhagat said.
"We think that as the market grows, more and more businesses are going to
consider high-speed Internet access a business necessity."
