EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Davisco, Business Unit of Agropur inc., finished the inaugural Alpha Summit 2015 on Wednesday in Jerome, Idaho. The event brought many of the world's top scientists with protein expertise together to learn about Davisco's industry-leading alpha-lactalbumin. Alpha-lactalbumin is the primary protein in human milk and Davisco produces the cleanest commercially available form at more than 92 percent purity.

Alpha Summit 2015 featured an educational seminar centered on alpha-lactalbumin and a tour of Davisco's state-of-the-art Jerome Cheese Facility, which impressively increased its production tenfold earlier this year.

Following an overwhelming surge of enthusiasm surrounding Alpha Summit 2015, Davisco has considered hosting the event again in the future.

"The inaugural Alpha Summit 2015 was a tremendous success and future summits will feed off the energy it created," said Jon Davis, President of Davisco, Business Unit of Agropur. "Alpha-lactalbumin is an incredibly important ingredient in the continued advances being made in infant nutrition and serves as our launching pad for many more innovative whey protein products to come."
