Apr 02, 2001, 01:00 ET from American Reprographics Company

GLENDALE, Calif. and TORONTO, April 2 /PRNewswire/ --
American Reprographics Company (ARC), the country's leading provider of
reprographic services and technology in more than 145 locations nationwide,
today announced the acquisition of ICC Reprographics Ltd. of Toronto, marking
ARC's first venture outside of the United States. Financial details of the
 transaction were not disclosed.
"This acquisition is significant in that it's our entry point into the
thriving Toronto market, which is the business and financial capital of
Canada," said Suri Suriyakamar, president and COO of American Reprographics.
"We've continually expanded our national footprint with new locations close to
our customers in the U.S., and now we're looking to do the same
 internationally."
ICC, founded in 1960, has been completely digital for the past three
years, making it a perfect match for ARC, creator of PlanWell(TM), the world's
largest online planroom. "We realized we were at the point where we would
need to spend some serious dollars to successfully grow our business," said
Mike Emiglio, president of ICC. "American Reprographics will help us do that,
while allowing us to maintain our individual presence in our local
 marketplace."
Several companies wanted to purchase ICC, but Emiglio said
American Reprographics' offer was the most appealing. "I talked with a number
of people who recently sold their businesses to American Reprographics and
they're all very happy," said Emiglio. "More importantly, they're excited
about their future with ARC. We wanted to become part of that."
