ATLANTA, April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- AppForge, Inc.,
the only provider of Visual Basic(R) application development solutions for
handheld and mobile products, announces the introduction of an entry-level
"Personal Edition" of their popular programming platform.
The Personal Edition is specifically designed for hobbyists, enthusiasts,
and neophytes and contains many of the features of other AppForge Editions
such as support for graphics, serial port communications, and Palm OS Extended
 Library calls.
According to Jon Yaeger, AppForge's Vice President of Sales, "In just over
four months, we have over 16,000 Visual Basic developers writing business and
enterprise applications with the Standard and Professional Editions of
AppForge." Jon continues, "We have seen a tremendous interest from
individuals who have some programming experience, and are very excited about
developing applications for the new booming mobile market."
Doug Benson, Vice President of Marketing at AppForge, adds "Handheld
computers are much more personal than notebooks or desktops. People carry
their Palm OS and Pocket PC devices with them all day, and they want to

applications for this new mobile world."
AppForge plans to sell the Personal Edition exclusively through resellers.
The AppForge Personal Edition, with a suggested list price of US $69, is
