DOLTON, Ill., Dec. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Apple Rush Co., Inc. (Pink Sheets: APRU) announced that it has completed its first production run of canned Organic 100% Juice Sparkling Beverages at the Portland Bottling Company, Portland, OR. The production run, which was completed on December 10, includes three flavors of Apple Rush beverages in cans, Original Apple, Cranberry, and Pomegranate. The production was delayed from the Company's earlier target date due to a lengthy organic certification process that was complicated by merging two organic certifiers to complete the process.
The cans add a valuable new offering to all existing customers of the Apple Rush parent company. The Company plans to ship its new aluminum canned product to Puerto Rico as well as other distributors in California, Hawaii and the Mid-West who have already placed pre-orders. The next production is scheduled for early 1st Quarter 2010.
"The introduction of cans to the Apple Rush family of products is truly a great step forward for the Company and its shareholders. We see this as a milestone for the Company as the cans present a great opportunity for us to dramatically increase our business in a variety of different areas where we have been limited in the past. We are now in position to take advantage of other sales prospects including School Lunch programs, vending and new Food Service Opportunities. Our growth will dramatically increase in the US as well as other international markets," stated Robert Corr, President of Apple Rush Co.
