LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Appriss, Inc. and Visual Analytics Inc. (VAI) have entered into an agreement that will allow criminal justice agencies to enhance their analytical capabilities. Users of the VAI technologies VisuaLinks and Digital Information Gateway (DIG,) will now be able to access Appriss' OffenderNet, the national offender-booking database. The partnership will offer users access to OffenderNet through the VAI Data Center, available as a value-added service to VAI's VisuaLinks and DIG customers.
OffenderNet contains more than 40 million booking records as well as six million booking photos. VAI customers will now be able to directly query the OffenderNet data through a connection to the VAI Data Center using their existing DIG Server. In addition, VAI's VisuaLinks technology can be used to graphically display the data to discover patterns, trends, associations, and hidden networks.
"This teaming agreement is a tremendous step forward in our efforts to make important data available to law enforcement agencies across the country," said Brian Oldham, Appriss' executive vice president of Information Services. "By expanding the options available to investigators, they can move swiftly and efficiently to bring a criminal case to a successful conclusion.
