AquaClara Announces $21 Million, 5-Year Deal With SerVen Rich, Inc.

Apr 16, 2001, 01:00 ET from AquaClara Bottling & Distribution, Inc.

    CLEARWATER, Fla., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AquaClara Bottling &
Distribution, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AQCB) announced today the terms of a
recently signed agreement with SerVen Rich, Inc. The 5-year contract calls
for a minimum purchase of $21 million in bottled water by SerVen Rich, Inc., a
master distributor backed by Richard Williams and daughters Serena and Venus.
"We're moving forward according to plan," says Don Butler, President of
SerVen Rich, Inc. "It's important to note that our plans are significantly
larger than this initial purchase commitment, though. In addition to the
purified, oxygen-enriched bottled water, our newest product, Smash, also will
be taken to the world marketplace. But, SerVen Rich's strong commitment to
our family of partners and the union of our companies, First Union Bank's
brokerage division, AquaClara, BECO Worldwide, Inc and the marketing support
of Richard, Venus and Serena Williams, provide a unique opportunity for us to
dramatically influence the lives of economically disadvantaged individuals
while taking our products to the marketplace," Butler goes on to say.
"We are all in unison," says E Douglas Cifers, AquaClara's Chairman of the
Board. "SerVen Rich brings a very clear marketing and distribution direction
that certainly will place our product line in top contention for market
 share."
SerVen Rich, Inc., started its massive advertising and marketing campaign
recently with radio ads running from Vero Beach to Miami and is planning other
areas around the country as well. "Special events promotions will be an
integral part of our marketing plan," explains Butler. "We will sponsor the
March of Dimes Walkathons across the country, the Nashville Music Marathon,
the Del Ray Beach Affair on Wednesday, April 18, and similar events around the
 country."
"While we're currently producing water to fill orders, there will be a
significant ramp-up period," says AquaClara President Jack Plunkett. "The
order commitment has already forced us to seek additional production
facilities that can handle the additional demand plus the Smash products and
 ensuing orders."
Butler indicated that 35 trailer loads of Smash are being prepared for
immediate shipment to test markets around the country. The Reverend Jesse
Jackson's Rainbow Push Coalition is playing a significant role, along with
BECO Worldwide, Inc. founder and President Percy Jones, in bringing the Smash
products to market. "This alliance has strength in many ways," says Percy
Jones. "Our commitment to quality, community, and each other is second to
 none."
