Atlantic City to Host Nation's Largest Regional Biotechnology Conference

    TRENTON, N.J., April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- The
 Biotechnology Council of New Jersey (BCNJ) and the Pennsylvania Biotechnology
 Association (PABIOTECH) will host the largest regional biotechnology
 conference in the country at the Atlantic City Convention Center and the
 Atlantic City Sheraton.  Hundreds of representatives of the industry, academia
 and government are expected to attend the Symposium, entitled Biotech 2001:
 Opportunities in the Nation's Pharmaceutical Center.  The Symposium will be
 held on April 23-24, 2001 and will profile the biotechnology industry in New
 Jersey and Pennsylvania and present programs on important issues facing the
 industry today.
     Keynote speakers Jan Leschly, Chairman & CEO of Care Capital LLC (former
 President & CEO of SmithKline Beecham) and Gary Reedy, President of Ortho
 Biotech, Inc. will address the conference to offer their perspectives on
 changes and issues facing the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
