MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Attensity™ Government Systems (AGS), the leader in semantic technologies for government agencies, today announced its launch as a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Attensity Group (http://www.attensitygroup.com). AGS serves the federal government market with a suite of semantic engines and applications (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Engines/index.html). AGS offers a unique combination of the world's leading semantic technologies: Attensity Group's full offering of semantic engines and applications along with Inxight technologies from SAP® BusinessObjects. Government agencies can now leverage — for the first time – the powerful capabilities enabled by the combination of Inxight's multi-lingual advanced entity and event extraction with that of Attensity Group's patented Exhaustive Extraction™ (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Engines/TriplesGov.html). Exhaustive Extraction automatically identifies and transforms the facts, opinions, requests, trends and trouble spots in unstructured text into structured, actionable intelligence and then connects it back to entities – people, places and things. This new combined solution provides researchers with the deepest and broadest capabilities for identifying issues hidden in mountains of unstructured data — inside emails, letters, social media sites, passenger manifests, websites, and more.

"New government transparency initiatives are driving a growing demand for cutting-edge analytics that enable agencies at all levels to better serve their various constituencies," said Craig D. Norris, chief executive officer of the new Attensity Government Systems. "AGS is unique in our ability to provide the most comprehensive suite of semantic technology services via Attensity Group, along with the Inxight technologies from SAP BusinessObjects. It's simply an unbeatable technology combination that will help government agencies to gain better insight into the key issues facing citizens and other stakeholders today."

AGS applications help organizations address mission-critical requirements through the ability to use text to drive action. Government agencies can uncover and speed response to important citizen feedback and events that might otherwise go unresolved or undetected.

AGS Solutions

Attensity Intelligence Analysis (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Customers/Intelligence-Analysis.html) automates the monitoring of OSINT and HUMINT data, and the extraction of events and relationships (triples) from text - not only who or what, but why, when, where and how. Users then access and analyze this data through an easy-to-use search and collaboration portal.

Attensity Analyze for Voice of the Citizen (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Customers/Voice-of-the-Citizen.html) enables organizations to monitor social media and direct communications in emails, surveys, etc. to understand the key issues and concerns of constituents, employees, soldiers, and other stakeholders.

Attensity Respond

(http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Applications-and-Services/Applications/Automated-Response-Management.html) leverages advanced pattern recognition technology to categorize all incoming emails, forms, customer forums, tweets and other types of messages, allowing them to be tracked as trouble tickets. The solution then auto-responds to the message, or routes it to be serviced by the appropriate person or team.

Attensity Bio-surveillance / Outbreak Response (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Customers/Bio-surveillance-Outbreak-Response.html) provides early warning and root cause analysis of potential threats to people, food, and water supplies, enabling health authorities to detect a sudden shift in community health status and to support public health officials and scientists in providing early and effective public health response.

Attensity Cloud for Social Media Monitoring (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Customers/SocialMediaGov.html) enables organizations to rapidly and accurately understand and analyze the buzz found in social media web forums, blogs and microblogs. This solution goes beyond the typical "starter" social media mining products out there -- over 18 years of research and development into natural language processing has resulted in the ability to produce deep analysis of sentiment, top issues, and other information -- translating social media feedback into actionable information.

Attensity Semantic Engines (http://www.attensitygov.com/en/Engines/index.html) provide industry-leading unstructured data extraction and transformation technologies. The extraction technologies use patented, state-of-art semantic approaches to extract and recall information previously hidden in free-form text, turning it into valuable insights that can be used by all types of business users.

A Powerful Semantic Combination

AGS sells and services Attensity Group applications along with SAP BusinessObjects' Inxight products. Together, the combined semantic engines are able to automatically recognize and analyze document languages and automatically categorize content. Relevant "entities" such as people, objects, times and places are filtered and displayed in context and can be used for drill-down discovery and analysis. The technology currently supports 32 languages, including most European languages, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and many others. The partnership with SAP BusinessObjects enables AGS to integrate the capabilities in the LinguistX®, ThingFinder®, and Categorizer™ engines into the Attensity semantic applications, and thus gain a significant increase in the speed and quality of text analysis.
