Aviall Awarded Long Term Airline Aftermarket Distribution Rights By Honeywell For Engine Systems and Accessories and Environmental Control Systems Products

    DALLAS, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviall, Inc. (NYSE:   AVL) has been awarded
 ten-year worldwide aftermarket parts distribution rights for Honeywell's
 (NYSE:   HON) Engine Systems and Accessories (ESA) and Environmental Control
 Systems (ECS) products.  The agreement includes cabin pressurization and air
 conditioning parts and components for certain commercial and regional airline
 aircraft such as the B727, B747, L1011, DC-8, DC-10, MD-80 and MD-11 fleets.
     For the included products, Aviall will be responsible for full-service
 supply-chain management including aftermarket part sales, marketing, order
 administration, warehousing, inventory management, product distribution and
 documentation support.  Effective immediately, the agreement is expected to
 provide estimated sales over the ten-year period of approximately
 $300 million.
     A key feature of this contract will be Aviall's ability to utilize its
 enhanced technology and network of 37 globally positioned customer service
 centers to provide Honeywell and its customers with on-demand support.
 Aviall's ability to link Honeywell and its customers on Aviall's supply-chain
 highway through its customer-friendly aviall.com website and, if desired,
 traditional dial-up methods will be an added plus for Honeywell customers
