Banc of America Securities Hosts Second Annual Consumer Conference

    NEW YORK, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Procter & Gamble, Outback Steakhouse,
 Kenneth Cole, and Intimate Brands are just some of the many premier companies
 scheduled to present to more than 400 investors today at the Banc of America
 Securities Consumer Conference.  Scheduled for April 2-4 at The Palace Hotel,
 this year's three-day conference features presentations and discussions from
 more than 70 company executives representing 12 subsectors of the consumer
 economy.

     The primary goal of this year's conference is to provide investors with
 insight on emerging trends in the various areas of the consumer sector.
 Featuring a diverse line-up of companies, the format of this year's conference
 is similar to a "town meeting" approach, utilizing a question and answer

     This year's conference will feature several prestigious keynote speakers
 including Thomas McManus, Equity Portfolio Strategist at Banc of America
