BBVA Compass welcomes third member to its Gadsden advisory board

- Knowles brings legal expertise to the bank's board

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA Compass has named attorney Christie Dasinger Knowles as the third member of its Gadsden, Ala., advisory board.

Alabama native Knowles is a partner and attorney at Gadsden's Cusimano, Roberts, Knowles & Mills LLC. She specializes in business law, nonprofit corporations, wills and estate planning, general civil litigation and real estate. She's practiced law since 1998 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, Supreme Court of Alabama and Alabama's federal courts. Knowles also taught business law at Jacksonville State University.

Knowles joins Kay Moore, a former banker, and Roger Boatner, a certified public accountant, on the board.

She serves on the board of several civic organizations, including the United Way of Etowah County, Kiwanis Club of Gadsden and Gadsden Symphony Orchestra, among others.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
