Beauty, Brains, Business: Christine Pomponio-Pate Signs With Milverstead Publishing

WAYNE, Pa., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Few stars shine as brightly in the world of fitness modeling as Christine Pomponio-Pate's.  A model, actress, and mother, Christine was the winner of several major figure competitions, including the California State Pro Figure Championship and the Tournament of Champions.  Now, Christine can add the titles of author and part-business owner of Milverstead Publishing, LLC, a niche publisher that donates part of its profits to a variety of charitable organizations.

As Milverstead Publishing grows its roster of authors, founder Christopher Finlan first reached out to Christine to bring her onboard.  "I had originally asked that she do some modeling and promotional work for us.  But knowing Christine's incredible life story, as well as her commitment to giving back to the community, she was everything that I wanted in one of our authors," Finlan said.

Christine overcame a serious car accident at age 19 and endured years of rehabilitation to not only compete for years, but excel in an industry where many think performance-enhancing drugs are required to succeed.  Christine's determination, insistence on competing drug-free, and business sense all shaped her acting and fitness modeling career and made her the number one ranked figure competitor in the world for nearly a year.  The relationship with Milverstead now seems the next logical step.  "It's exactly the type of project I love to be involved with.  I believe any business should be balanced out with giving back," Christine explained.

Christine became so inspired she joined Milverstead Publishing with an ownership stake and a much greater involvement.  "I had been asking for guidance for new opportunities that would combine business with volunteering and this came along at the perfect time," she stated.

Christine is currently working on several projects for the company, including her autobiography, which will be published as part of her multi-book deal.  Like each of Milverstead's other books, a portion of the profits will be donated to charity.  She will also model, portraying the lead character in Milverstead's upcoming viral marketing campaign.  Christine added, "I'm excited to be featured in it, and we're looking to do several fundraising events as well.
