Apr 10, 2001, 01:00 ET from Beck's North America

STAMFORD, Conn., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Last year's winner fell just
10" short of sinking a million dollar putt that would have launched him into
early retirement. Ever wonder what it would feel like for you to be on the
18th green, with one putt separating you from becoming golf's 2001 big money
winner? Just enter the 3rd annual Beck's "Putt & Win" Sweepstakes and you may
find that the only obstacle between you and $10 Million is 65 feet of grass.
Five Regional Finalists will be flown to Lake Tahoe to play with celebrities
on the beautiful Edgewood Tahoe golf course and earn a chance to win up to
 $10 million.
Entry is easy. U.S. residents, 21 years and older, may enter daily
through tear pads at participating local supermarkets, bars, restaurants and
wherever Beck's beer is sold or enter at http://www.becksbeer.com, between
 March 1 and May 15.

U.S. Beck's sales regions (Northeast, Atlantic, Southeast, Central and West)
will be selected from a random drawing to compete in a June regional "Putt
Off". From there, it's off to world famous Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course during
July 4-9 for a chance at the world's richest putt. Finalist will have the
option of placing the ball anywhere from 20 - 65 feet from the hole, with the
stakes increasing along with the distance. Every additional five feet adds
 $1 Million to the purse.

Grand Prize winners to 25 which allows even more of our consumers to compete
in the regional competitions," says John Lennon, president and CEO of Beck's
North America. "Most people have never experienced the thrill of making an
unbelievable putt for millions of dollars. Here's the chance to do it and
have Beck's give you the reward of a lifetime."
Also new to the tournament this year will be the addition of the Beck's
Cart Girls from Pin-Up Golf, Beck's professional golf hostesses who are sure
to provide a fun and memorable few days on the links. Adds Lennon, "As the
spirit of competition intensifies, refreshment carts full of ice-cold Beck's,
Beck's Light, Beck's Dark and Haake Beck non-alcoholic will be more appealing
 than ever."
