 the appointment of Sam A. Lazar as President and COO of the company.
     Mr. Lazar comes to Beverly Sassoon & Co. with great experience in the
 health and beauty industry.  He spent 13 years as President of Scientific
 Research Products, Inc., an Ethnic Hair Care marketing company in Fort
 Lauderdale, which he developed into a mid-sized company with innovative new
 products and a unique marketing platform.  The company was sold to The Stephan
 Company in 1994, and Mr. Lazar spent another seven years as president of that
 division, overseeing the distribution of all newly acquired brands, including
 Colgate-Palmolive products to major retail chains.  Prior to that, Mr. Lazar
 spent seven years with the Schlitz Brewing Company as Director of Export
 Marketing, and three years as National Account Sales Manager for Cheesebrough-
 Ponds, a health and beauty aid manufacturer.  He began his career with Lever
 Brothers as a key account sales manager.
