Boston Ventures' Anthony J. Bolland Joins Net2000 Communications Board of Directors

    HERNDON, Va., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Net2000 Communications, Inc.
 (Nasdaq:   NTKK), an innovative provider of integrated broadband voice, data,
 Internet and interactive video communications services, today announced the
 appointment of Anthony J. Bolland to the company's board of directors.
     Bolland, 47, has been a managing director of Boston Ventures Management,
 Inc., and a general partner of prior Boston Ventures funds since the firm's
 founding in 1983.  He is also a managing director and principal owner of the
 general partner of Fund VI.  Boston Ventures is a leading private equity firm
 in the media and communications sector with over $1.4 billion under
 management.  Bolland has been instrumental in Boston Ventures' ability to
 raise investment capital in six funds totaling over $2.6 billion, and in the
 firm's successful participation as a financial partner in such companies as
 Continental Cablevision (later Media One and now part of AT&T Broadband),
 Metromedia, The News Corporation, Sygnet Communications, MetroRED (a joint
