SALISBURY, N.C., Sept. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bottom Dollar Food will open a new store on October 3 at 2990 Edgely Road in Levittown, Pa. The first 200 customers at the new location on Thursday will receive a free Bottom Dollar Food reusable bag filled with groceries, and additional customers will receive free reusable bags throughout the day.

The new store will open to the public at 8 a.m. following ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Several local dignitaries will be on hand for the grand opening. Former Philadelphia football player Bill Bergey will greet customers and sign autographs from 8 to 9 a.m. Hours of operation for this store are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

As part of the grand opening festivities, Bottom Dollar Food will make a $1,500 donation to local non-profits. A $500 check will be presented to the Bristol Borough Community Action Group to provide the organization with needed food safety handling equipment. The remainder of the contribution will be presented to Philabundance, which will provide funding to additional feeding agencies in the area to support hunger relief efforts.
