PITTSBURGH, Aug. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Branding Brand today announced that the company has received strong competency ratings in a new Forrester Research report that surveyed the mobile commerce capabilities of 14 vendor companies in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company received high marks in mobile web, Facebook/other, catalog and search product discovery, shopping experience, multichannel tools, purchase/checkout, development tools, and integration tools. "We are excited to be recognized by such an authoritative source," said Chris Mason, Branding Brand's co-founder and two-time entrepreneur. "We have the best technology, the best team, and a proven track-record of constant innovation. We're young, hungry, and tireless."

Branding Brand launched its first mobile site with Dick's Sporting Goods in September 2009 and has since developed a client list of over 50 leading brands, all of which are still on the company's platform. In the last nine months, Branding Brand also claimed 10 of the Internet Retailer Top 100 as clients. According to the same Forrester report, only 48 percent of online retailers already have a mobile-optimized mCommerce site.

In addition to mobile sites and apps, Branding Brand also builds tablet apps, in-store kiosks, and Facebook commerce (f-commerce) integrations that allow for purchasing directly inside a wall post or on a tab. All of the company's offerings are powered by a proprietary core technology, making it easy for retailers to quickly develop an IT-free, multichannel presence. Half of Branding Brand's clients have already signed on for two or more products.

"From a technical standpoint, we meet all of the retailer concerns that the report outlines," said Mason. "Our technology uses a brand's underlying eCommerce platform but doesn't require them to do any heavy-lifting. We are PCI-certified. And, we share persistent shopping carts across platforms."

Branding Brand's core technology also allows for the inclusion of new features specifically geared to mobile, even if they don't exist on the brand's main e-commerce site. The company is a Facebook Preferred Developer Consultant, Google Commerce Search Partner, and PayPal Channel Partner. Its industry firsts include adding Facebook Like buttons and Live Local Inventory data to retailers' mobile sites, as well as the first interactive HTML5 commerce catalog, the Sephora app for iPad, which recently debuted as the #4 free iPad app on iTunes.

"From a philosophical standpoint, we are committed to constant analysis and evolution," added Mason. "Many of our clients are now seeing over 15 percent of their traffic coming from mobile. If you provide a good experience, people keep coming back."
