Brent Taravella Joins McCourt Global As Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK, Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- McCourt Global (MG), a leader in building value through entrepreneurial, strategic, and philanthropic investments, today announced that Brent Taravella has joined the firm as Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He will be based in MG's headquarters in New York City.  

Previously, Taravella was the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of iHeartRadio, iHeartRadio Networks, and the Katz Media Group, divisions of iHeartMedia, where his accomplishments included creating an infrastructure and developing performance metrics to analyze and drive business results across multiple businesses, introducing a new enterprise budgeting system, and dramatically improving profitability and cash flow.

Prior to iHeartMedia, Taravella spent 14 years in a variety of roles with Fox Television Stations, including Vice President, Finance & Administration for Fox Station Sales, Inc., Vice President, Finance for WNYW-TV in New York City and Vice President, Finance for KTVC-TV and KVC-TV in Austin.  Before that, Taravella held positions at WFAA-TV, a division of the Belo Corporation, and the ABC Radio Networks, a division of Capital Cities/ABC. 

Taravella earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.
