    SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel P. Myers, President
 and CEO of Bridge Bank of Silicon Valley (In Organization), announced that
 Silicon Valley community banking leader Robert P. Gionfriddo has been named
 Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer of the bank.

 he will be leading the business development efforts at Bridge Bank," said

     Mr. Gionfriddo, 55, brings more than a quarter century of community
 banking experience in the Silicon Valley to his new executive position at
 Bridge Bank.

     Most recently, Mr. Gionfriddo served as Vice Chairman of the Board and
 Executive Vice President of Heritage Bank of Commerce in San Jose. He was
 co-founder of the bank, which opened for business in June 1994 with
 $14.1 million in initial capital, which, prior to Bridge Bank's recently
 closed capitalization of $19 million, was the largest bank capitalization in
 the history of Silicon Valley. Mr. Gionfriddo was instrumental in the growth
 of Heritage Bank to more than $600 million in assets in its first six years of
 business.
     Earlier, from 1990 to 1993, Mr. Gionfriddo served as Executive Vice
 President and Manager of the Commercial Division of Silicon Valley Bank in
 San Jose. He was also a member of the Executive Management Committee of the
 bank.  From 1981 to 1990, Mr. Gionfriddo was Executive Vice President and
 Director of Corporate Marketing at Plaza Bank of Commerce in San Jose. He also
 served as a member of the bank's Executive Management Committee and directed
 business development efforts for the bank. Mr. Gionfriddo was Vice President
 and Senior Development Manager for the Santa Clara Valley Regional Head Office
 of Union Bank from 1976 to 1981.
     Mr. Gionfriddo has been actively involved in the civic and nonprofit
 arena. He is a member of a number of local community groups, including the
 Rotary Club of San Jose and Civic Club of  San Jose. He is a member in good
 standing of the San Jose Country Club. He has served on numerous nonprofit
 boards and committees including the Children's Discovery Museum, American
 Cancer Society Santa Clara Valley as well as actively involved in fund-raising
 for many local charity organizations.
     Mr. Gionfriddo earned an undergraduate degree from Fairfield University in
 Fairfield, Conn.
