BSA Announces Three New Board Members

    WAYNE, Pa., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bank Securities Association is
 pleased to announce three additional members to its Board of Directors;
 Maryann Bruce, President of Evergreen Investment Services Company, Richard B.
 Coltrane III, Managing Director of Riggs Investment Corp., and Thomas N. Howe,
 EVP Investment Services and CEO of Webster Trust Company.
     According to Lincoln Yersin, president of the BSA, "this continues an
 effort undertaken by the Board to broaden the scope and diversity of the BSA
 Board of Directors.  We have increased representation on the Board among a
 number of core BSA constituencies, bank broker-dealers, bank proprietary fund
 distribution, and trust companies.  Simultaneously we have increased the
 diversity of the size of institution represented on the BSA Board of
 Directors.  These additions to the Board bring over six decades of experience
 in the Bank Securities Industry and are invaluable additions."
     The BSA Board of Directors represents depository institutions of all sizes
 from large multinational institutions to community based institutions with a
 variety of charters.  Its members are drawn from all areas of financial
 institutions that are involved in investment activities including bank broker-
