DURHAM, N.C., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackson Associates today introduced
Energy Use Profiles, a new utility customer information product developed
specifically to provide load profiles and energy use information for the
detailed customer segments preferred by utilities, energy service providers
and ESCO's in marketing and pricing analysis.
For instance, instead of having to rely on generic "retail" monthly energy
and load shape characterizations for individual customers in the retail
sector, Energy Use Profiles permit users to distinguish among building
material sales, paint, glass and wallpaper stores, hardware stores, department
stores, liquor stores and 50 additional retail businesses. Similarly, Energy
Use Profiles data distinguishes among banks, real estate, insurance, doctor,
dentist, engineering services and many other "office uses." Energy Use
Profiles use standard SIC business codes to define business categories. SIC
designations are available for nearly every commercial establishment in the
 US.
In addition to 430 different SIC business types, 9 employee size
categories are used to provide hourly loads and monthly energy profiles for
more than 3,800 individual business categories.
Data are also available for 75 residential categories based on household
income, demographics and dwelling unit type.
Energy Use Profiles are available for individual counties, metropolitan
 areas and states.
More information on MAISY Energy Use Profiles is available at
