CONCORD, N.C., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Logistics Management, Inc.
(Cardinal), an industry leader in dedicated delivery and transportation
management services, announced today that Jerry Bowman will join the company's
management team as executive vice president and general manager. Bowman will
be responsible for business development and operations for Cardinal. Under
his direction, Cardinal will pursue both existing and new customer
relationships to extend its impressive recent growth.
"Cardinal has a great combination of creative talent and experience that
it can bring to bear on client supply chain problems," said Bowman. "One of
the key factors in my decision to work at Cardinal was its recent decision to
focus on dedicated delivery and logistics management services. I feel these
areas hold the greatest growth potential within the industry and am confident
that Cardinal, with its mix of professional drivers and contractors, its
customer service orientation and its leading edge technology is well
positioned to seize this portion of the market. Working with companies like
Home Depot and Office Depot, Cardinal has proven they can put the solutions in
place that help drive business successes."
Bowman joins the Cardinal team with more than 25 years of logistics and
transportation experience. He was a member of the executive team at Ryder
Integrated Logistics during that company's explosive expansion. Bowman served
in a number of key assignments, including senior vice president for the U.S.
and Canada with profit and loss responsibility for a business unit of over
$1 billion in annual revenue and 10,000 employees.
After leaving Ryder in March of 1998, Bowman joined Pameco Corporation, a
U.S. based wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and parts. He served as
chief operating officer of Pameco until September of 1999 when he was named
president and chief executive officer of Pameco's new e-commerce company.
"Jerry Bowman's stellar reputation in the industry, in conjunction with
his logistics experience, will help us deliver on greater growth and success
this coming year," said Vin McLoughlin, chief executive officer at Cardinal.
