DENVER, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Med Technologies, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: GLOB) ("Global Med" or the "Company") announced the
signing of an agreement with Carson-Tahoe Hospital, in Carson City, Nevada, to
license Wyndgate Technologies' SafeTrace Tx hospital transfusion service
management information system. Wyndgate is a division of Global Med
Technologies, Inc. a Denver, Colorado based e-Health medical information
technology company that provides software products and services to the
 healthcare industry.
Over the past 50 years, Carson-Tahoe Hospital has evolved into a large,
acute-care facility with 128 beds and over 900 employees. Under the
leadership of CEO Steve Smith, it also evolved into a progressive, high-tech
hospital but never lost its personal touch -- its guiding philosophy is "High-
Touch/High-Tech" as it strives to provide a full continuum of care.
"Our blood bank department performed a thorough search of three blood bank
system vendors. After an in-depth evaluation, including product demos and
site visits, we chose Wyndgate's SafeTrace Tx," said Doug Long, Director of
Clinical Services at Carson-Tahoe. "Carson-Tahoe Hospital is moving towards a
Windows NT(R) laboratory information system, so SafeTrace Tx was the perfect
 choice."
"We are pleased to have such a progressive hospital as Carson-Tahoe join
the growing list of Wyndgate customers," said Don L. Jackson, Vice President
of Sales and Marketing for Wyndgate Technologies. "The implementation of
SafeTrace Tx is a perfect compliment to their 'High-Tech/High-Touch'
philosophy, combining the system's ease of use, with extensive functionality
to create a state-of-the-art blood bank."
     SafeTrace Tx is a Microsoft(R) Windows(R) based, feature-rich hospital
transfusion service management information system that is uniquely designed to
fully support enterprise-wide centralized transfusion services (CTS)
management, including advanced functionality such as electronic and remote
crossmatch, automated patient special needs and antigen/antibody screens.
Wyndgate Technologies is a leading supplier of management information
systems to U.S. blood centers. Current clients of the Company manage more
than 2.5 million units of blood, or over 20% of the U.S. blood supply, each
 year.
Global Med's subsidiary, PeopleMed.com,(TM) Inc. ("PeopleMed") is an ASP
