Cash Technologies Receives U.S. Patent Office Approval For Its E-Commerce Technology

Apr 25, 2001, 01:00 ET from Cash Technologies, Inc.

LOS ANGELES, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Cash Technologies, Inc. (Amex: TQ)
today announced that it has received a Notice of Allowance for its E-commerce
Message Management Architecture(TM) (EMMA(TM)) patent application from the
United States Patent and Trademark Office. This concludes the approval
process prior to the final issuance of the patent. The patent application,
originally filed in 1998, covers the methods by which EMMA delivers complex
financial and information services to self-service and other remote devices
 efficiently and flexibly.
"This is a very important milestone for Cash Tech in its endeavor to
provide financial services, such as check-cashing, bill payments, money
transfers, Internet products and other services to ATMs, point-of-sale
terminals and wireless devices," remarked Bruce Korman, CEO of Cash
Technologies. "We believe that our technology provides the fastest, most
cost-effective and user-friendly techniques for conducting these transactions.
Unlike existing data processing systems which must be redesigned or replaced
to support any added services, EMMA provides a new language for e-commerce
transactions that permits the rapid deployment of new applications with
 minimal effort."
The Company has filed other patent applications related to its
 technologies which are pending.
Korman added, "With the demand for advanced transaction processing rising
every day, Cash Tech's ability to protect its intellectual property will
become one of its most valuable assets."
