Cellomics Extends Strengths in Operations and Business Development with Three Key Hires and Promotion

    PITTSBURGH, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellomics(R), Inc. announced today
 the appointment of several key members to its Senior Management Team as part
 of a new reporting structure.  Conan Li, Ph.D., will serve the company as Vice
 President, Product Development, Changjin (CJ) Wang, Ph.D., joins as Vice
 President, Business Development and John H. Tyson has been appointed as Vice
 President, Manufacturing.  In addition, L. Robert Johnston, Jr., the Executive
 VP and CFO, has been promoted to lead the entire management team.
     Dr. Li will be responsible for the management of all High Content
 Screening product development.  Dr. Li joins Cellomics from Xylum Corporation
 in Scarsdale, New York where he was the Vice President of Science and
 Research.  He received his Ph.D. in Biophysics from Harvard University, and
 his B.S. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
     Dr. Wang will be responsible for directing business development activities
 and coordinating alliance deals with pharmaceutical companies.  Dr. Wang joins
 Cellomics from Packard Bioscience Company in Connecticut where he was the
 Director of Technology Acquisition and Alliance.  He received his Ph.D. in
 Pharmaceutical Sciences from the College of Pharmacy at the University of
 Kentucky and his B.S. in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy, West China
 University of Medical Sciences.
     Mr. Tyson will be responsible for managing the manufacturing, including
 the development of staff, infrastructure and processes for producing and
 testing all products for sale.  Mr. Tyson joins Cellomics from Cytometrics,
 Inc. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was the Vice President of
 Manufacturing.  He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North
 Carolina A&T State University.
