Central Scholarship and MONEY co-present 3rd annual financial literacy event for Maryland students
BALTIMORE, March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Central Scholarship and MONEY® Magazine will be co-hosting a financial literacy event aimed at helping college students understand the impact of financial decisions from the time they gain admission through graduation and beyond. This event will help kick off Financial Literacy Month.
The event will be open to the public, but registration is required and space is limited.

Speakers include Comptroller of Maryland Peter Franchot, MONEY® Senior Writer Kim Clark, and student loan expert Heather Jarvis among others.
Event topics of discussion and interactive sessions will include:
- Paying for college with MONEY® Senior Writer, Kim Clark
- Understanding the college financial aid awards letter
- Building wealth after graduation
- Strategies for repaying student loans student loan expert, Heather Jarvis
- Individual sessions with financial aid representatives
- Panel of industry experts on tips for finding employment after graduation
MONEY Magazine will sponsor a $5,000 scholarship. Participants can apply the day of the event.
Other Sponsors of College Cash 101 include Wells Fargo, BB&T and Vitamin.
