Choicetel Communications Files Notice With SEC That It Will be Late With Its 10KSB Filing

    MINNEAPOLIS, April 4 /PRNewswire/ --
     Choicetel Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:   PHON) on Monday April 2, 2001
 filed notice with the SEC that it will be late filing its l0KSB.  In a form
 12b-25 filing the Company stated it was unable to file a 10KSB because the
 annual audit of the financial statements has not been completed by the
 Company's auditors.  The work has been slowed by staff reductions at Advants,
 Inc., the Company's 80% owned subsidiary.
    As previously announced, Advants, Inc. has been unable to obtain necessary
 financing and Choicetel has decided to write-off its $3.5 million investment
 in Advants, Inc. in its year end financial statements.
