CHSI Corporation Partners With NONSTOP Solutions to Deliver Internet Connectivity to Pharmacy Customers

Apr 10, 2001, 01:00 ET from NONSTOP Solutions, Inc.

SAN FRANCISCO, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- CHSI Corporation and
NONSTOP Solutions Inc. Hamacher Division announced today that the two
companies will partner to provide high-speed Internet connectivity and
services to CHSI pharmacy customers. As part of this agreement, CHSI will
deliver NONSTOP's services and programs through its PharmacyAide(SM) product
thus enabling pharmacies to operate more efficiently.
PharmacyAide is a browser-based, integrated solution designed to meet the
needs of small chain and retail pharmacies. Its products and services
comprise a full range of pharmacy-specific applications, including linkages to
the store's primary wholesaler; a pharmacy dispensing system; direct
connections to many of the vendors and suppliers currently used by pharmacies,
and access to nationally negotiated contracts for financial and other services
that pharmacies are unable to obtain on their own. PharmacyAide also allows
pharmacies to access new revenue streams through relationships with third
party providers that are willing to share revenues with the store.
The first of these enhanced tools offered to customers will be a
customized version of NONSTOP's Rx Advisor(TM), which generates electronic
reports of pricing trends for generic and brand prescription drugs. The
prescription pricing program reports actual retail prices from within a narrow
2-digit zip code area, providing pharmacies access to vital market
intelligence that will improve their bottom line performance. This program
will provide up-to-date prices on the most commonly dispensed drugs each
 quarter.
"PharmacyAide is a unique opportunity for us to deliver our products to
our customers in an efficient, cost effective manner," said Dawn Vogelsang,
general manager of NONSTOP's Hamacher Division. "It also provides us with a
platform from which we can launch a new generation of products that will
significantly improve the value added that we provide to our customers."
"PharmacyAide is a conduit through which our partners can deliver their
products and services to their customers. We are able to provide continuous
broadband connectivity to stores at lower cost than stores or pharmacy service
organizations like NONSTOP's Hamacher Division can typically obtain on their
own," said Michael Busch, chief executive officer of CHSI Corporation. "In
addition, by presenting individual service offerings as part of a full suite
of services, we enhance the value for each individual piece."
PharmacyAide is being launched during April 2001. However, due to the
number of commitments already made, stores now signing contracts with
PharmacyAide are being given May or June implementation dates.
The PharmacyAide desktop is built on a proprietary browser developed by
rStar Networks, San Ramon, CA to provide satellite-based broadband
connectivity to school computers, where it is currently installed on more than
30,000 desktops. Internet broadband connectivity is being provided through a
 national contract with Spacenet.
